Ellis County Transition Council

What is Ellis County Transition Council

The Ellis County Transition Council works to support individuals with disabilities and their families through the transition points in their lives. The ECTC was formed with the help from a grant from the University of Kansas Center on Developmental Disabilities.

The ECTC includes representation from agencies and organizations across the community including USD 489 Hays Public Schools, Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas, The Arc of Central Plains, DCF Vocational Rehabilitation, Working Healthy, and Bethesda Place. The council also includes parents and students.

Resource Map

The first project of the ECTC was to create a Resource Map for the area. This resource map highlights the various supports and services that families and individuals may need, and organizes them by age level. The map can be found here and is embedded below.
