Spring Picture Update: Lifetouch made the decision to shutdown production a few weeks ago and have suspended all pictures until at least May 8th. I know this is frustrating for our families as we would like those photos, but the health of all persons at this point is so important and I understand their need to do this. As soon as photos go back into production and they are sent to Roosevelt, we will find a way to get those to you. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Please fill out the following survey as it will help in planning for school closures due to COVID-19. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=94UWZhZ47ECINHQtXXKlDfrLY5waI85AuDZEsUgwK3RUN1hUUlRPTjFIRE42U1FGUVBQSURIT1dETy4u
Roadrunner families: I know you have many questions. Please be patient and bare with us as we do not yet have answers. Gov. Kelly ordered the buildings closed for our students heath and safety, but school is not canceled. We will be working hard in the next couple of weeks on a continuous learning plan for our kiddos. Information about supplies, lessons, and in general "what's next" will be sent to you as soon as we can. While this is different and causing many feelings, the welfare of our community and our students has to be priority. Thank you for your patience and your positive thoughts. We will keep you updated. In the mean time, stay healthy.

Good morning Roadrunner Families: At 10:20 this morning, we practiced a “Hard Lock-Down” drill – otherwise known as “Shelter in Place” or “Intruder”. This type of emergency procedure would only occur in the most extreme of conditions, yet it is very important that we practice it at least once each school year to ensure that everyone knows the procedure in the hopes that we never have to use it. I would encourage you to visit with your Roadrunner about it this evening and, as always, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. Gracias,

Text can tell us many things about a story that help us understand the story better. Learning how characters interact with each other, their personalities, the volume and tone they take with each other in conversation all help us comprehend the story and meaning. This morning a group of 1st graders practiced reading a two-voice poem!
