Our Backpacks For Kids program strives to assist families struggling financially. This program substantially reduces the cost of a backpack, school supplies, and hygiene items for each child in the family entering grades Pre-K thru High School. To be eligible for a backpack, families must reside and attend school in Ellis County. The Registration Deadline is Monday, July 26, 2021 to be guaranteed a backpack filled with school supplies and a hygiene bag. Registrations may be completed on our website: www.firstcallelliscounty.com or you may call our office or complete the flyer and return to FCFH.
This year, the Backpacks Distribution Day will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Presbyterian Church from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Could you help us by posting a reminder on your digital billboards or newsletters for parents to register by the deadline? Later, please list the Distribution Date and location to pick them up? We are unable to hold backpacks, so any bags left over will be distributed on Friday, August 6th from 8:00am-1:00pm on a first come first served basis.
