Bond Issue Election November 7, 2017

On July 24, 2017 the USD 489 Board of Education unanimously voted to approve sending a $78.5 million bond issue to the public.  The bond issue planning will reach every student in every school in USD 489.  USD 489’s mission is to provide a quality learning experience for every child in every classroom every day.  Safety and security upgrades that include storm shelters, classroom additions to address student to teacher ratios, heating and cooling improvements, the introduction of next-generation learning environments, and two new facilities comprise the $78.5 million bond.  The question will be on the November 7th ballot.  We hope you take time to learn about the plan.  Be sure to cast your vote on November 7th!
